Nestled in Big Sky, Montana-a luxury place with breathtaking views of the area rugged mountains-Jennifer and Alec Litowitz were on the lookout for the perfect plot for their winter getaway. This couple discovered a vista, almost surreal, atop Andesite Ridge in the exclusive Yellowstone Club, but with the downside of already having an almost-completed 10,000-square-foot limestone house on it. Pretty much unfazed, the Litowitzes bought the property to make it their own.

“With a view like that, we knew we had to make it work,” Jennifer recalls. The plunge had been taken, and with the Litowitz family-a four-boy skiing co-op-ready to go about making this new house into their dream ski chalet.
